Joy fell into Hipcooks the way most of us fall into love. She didn’t know a lot about food, other than she loved to eat as much as possible, she got hurt a little at first (thank goodness for Knife Skills!), and eventually learned that it really does work best when you throw away the rules and learn to enjoy and be good to yourself in the kitchen.
After taking and assisting for almost every single Hipcooks class there is she decided that it was time for things to get a little more serious. Just three years later she found herself on the other side of the table teaching the Hipcooks crowd how to make their own classic cocktails. Yum! You’ll never go back to pre-made sweet and sour mix after tasting her Amaretto Sours. She swears by prosciutto wrapped goat cheese stuffed dates, Moroccan chicken, and caramelized onions. Setting things on fire and adding a little drama keeps things fresh and exciting too!
